Dear CGirl.
I understand how you feel. I converted to the Mormon Church when I was 16, and my parents could not enter the temple to watch me get married. They were offended and hurt by this. Not even all members of the Church can enter the temple. Since it is the house of the Lord, and is deeply holy, only the purest of the pure can enter. This is tough, but if you were ever to enter a temple and feel God's presence there, you would see why the Lord keeps the world out. Your best friend, I guarantee you, wants you involved in every aspect of this special event. She would probably love to have you at her side as she recites her marriage vows too. I've been to a lot of temple weddings, and it's always very exciting when the bride and groom come out of the temple together to greet their dear friends and family who are waiting outside. There are always some who cannot enter. I hope you'll be there for her, and that you'll rejoice in the fact that she is a pure spirit marrying the young man she loves and with whom she will be for eternity.
